Quebec 2014

“Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.”

I lived in St-Eustache, Quebec, last summer for the YMCA summer work exchange program. I worked at the Carrefour Peri-Naissance, a baby daycare, for 8 hours/day Monday through Friday. On weekends, I did activities with the YMCA group – things like visiting McGill University, riding the rapids, I-Max movies, camping, eating poutine, and spending a day at La Ronde (Six Flags). We took a 5-day train ride from Quebec back to BC, and I made SO many lasting friendships studded with incredible memories.  Best of all, I lived with the loveliest family in the best house in the most beautiful city, and I still think about my experience every single day.
