How are you? I hope you’re having a great week – today is Victoria Day, which means no school. 🙂
Mom and I spent the afternoon at Whole Foods! We had lunch there, of course, and I am stuffed. Big bowl at the hot bar + a sandwich, and then two sweet petite desserts AND samples. Totally satisfied – I don’t even think I’ll need dinner tonight!
Today I’m going to share some inspiring foodie photos from around the ‘net, and I hope you like them as much as I do. I’m SO ready for a week of healthy eating after indulging on frozen yogurt, food court stir-fries, and cheesecake. I actually started today with a big green smoothie (pictures will be coming up soon!) but the trip to Whole Foods set me back just a little. 😉
These healthy snacks sound really delicious. I’ve never had a plain hard boiled egg for a snack, and I actually haven’t had them for a while… I think it’s time to start cracking some eggs! #25 is a bit of a stretch when it comes to “healthy snacks”… but I do think that a cup of chocolate milk would hit the spot after a workout.
BTW, this isn’t my post – I don’t think I would spell “tomatoe”, “bananna”, “fetta”, or “chocolat”.
These two meals are doing a great job of reminding me what a healthy dinner should look like. I sometimes overload on Mom’s delicious meals of meaty stir-fries and white rice, but I like how these two dinner plates are nicely portioned out. They both look like 50% veggie and a lean protein. I think I would like some brown rice or quinoa with this dinner though!
I can’t believe it’s almost summer – GRILLING SEASON! ❤ I’m on pins and needles for charred salmon. Oh, and peaches. And cherries. And strawberries on ice cream. *sigh*
This photo belongs to Simply Scratch – I think it was one of her recent lunches. Looks heavenly, no?! That’s grilled chicken breast, chopped tomatoes and orange bell pepper, sunflower seeds, and hard-boiled egg on spinach. I want to have this for lunch one day!
No words to explain this rainbow of nutrition. 🙂
We bought grapes at Whole Foods today, and we’ve also got all kinds of delicate berries in the fridge. Can I just have a yogurt berry bowl for dinner?!
On a similar note, check out this fruit + dip bowl. I think that’s Nutella + Greek yogurt on the bottom left? Insane! What a great idea. I’ve done this with peanut butter, honey, and cinnamon before, but I think it would be just DECADENT with Nutella. Must try!
Now, these four photos belong to one of my favourite bloggers, Garden of Vegan. Nope, she doesn’t eat animal products at all, but these four incredible meals don’t look like they’re missing anything. That smashed avocado on toast is making me drool, and I love how toasty sweet + salty that tofu looks. And then there’s that granola + yogurt bowl with English muffins? O-M-G. The lighting of these photos is perfection.
